CMMI v2.0 ML5 Certificate

From January 5 to 12, 2021, CMMI High Maturity Lead Appraiser reviewed and appraised the Technology Center of our company. The appraisal team appraised 20 practice domains one by one, and finally determined that the Technology Center of our company complies with the requirements of CMMI v2.0 ML5 system, and the certificate remains valid. 

In November 2019, CMMI development model was upgraded to version 2.0, and the specific requirements varied greatly from the appraisal item sampling rules. According to the new sampling rules, organizations are required to provide the R&D projects in the recent three years, from which samples will be made in the system of CMMI institute. This requires that the R&D projects of the appraised organization shall comprehensively cover and apply to CMMI system. 

During the appraisal, the Technology Center discussed the way for improving R&D efficiency and product quality with the appraisal team. 

During the preparation period, it organized and carried out difference analysis, operational inspection, training, simulated interview and pre-evaluation, and added 4 models and 16 baselines. The system department, automation department, power distribution department, and evaluation department were organized to carry out “one-page improvements”, and analyze the root causes of QPPO failure. After the evaluation preparation, the process capability for project improvement of each department has been improved differently, and the process capability is significantly improved. 

End of system appraisal is a start of the further improvements. Under the guidance of the ultimate version of refined R&D, on the one hand, the company will strengthen data collection through the building and promotion of PLM system and R&D management platform; on the other hand, the project department will manage and analyze the R&D-related data as assets, and use data to support plan establishment, decision analysis, project monitoring and performance evaluation, and enhance the scale of measurement data in R&D. Through the continuous innovation philosophy and idea, it will make continuous improvements, and realize the goal of being customer-centric, capability-driven performance, and R&D efficiency improvement.
